WOMEN'S COMPETITIVE TEAMThe Women's Masters Program of Barnstable Rowing Club is a group of adult women committed to the sport of rowing and the responsibility of upholding its rich traditions and purpose. We are dedicated to the ideals of teamwork and sportsmanship through discipline, perseverance, cooperation, respect, friendship and camaraderie in promoting and encouraging competitiveness and inclusiveness for all. The women of Barnstable Rowing are proud of their achievements ~ from training and racing at Wequaquet Lake, our home course, to traveling to Zagreb, Croatia to compete at the 2007 FISA World Masters Regatta ~ we set high standards and inspiring goals with the hope that we become strong, self-reliant role models for our youth and juniors, while encouraging others to join us in the enjoyment and fulfillment our sport provides. "Hands on!" Each morning, with two words, we reach high above our heads, deep within our core, out for one another, up to the "catch", and back to touch our teammate. With an oar in our hands, we reach beyond the limits and boundaries of one person and become one team.
