Cape Cod Crew—

Cape Cod Crew is a highly competitive, well-organized junior women’s rowing program sponsored by Barnstable Rowing Club, a nationally competitive organization.  Barnstable Rowing introduced rowing to Cape Cod in 1987 and has been providing instruction and competitive opportunities ever since.  Cape Cod Crew is open to all junior women willing to make a serious commitment to the sport regardless of high school affiliation.  The goal of Cape Cod Crew is to prepare young women for success in regional and national competition.  No experience is necessary.  Through Cape Cod Crew, junior women from Barnstable, Yarmouth, Sandwich, Mashpee, Plymouth and more have the opportunity to discover rowing, train for competition, and race in regattas throughout New England.  To preserve a low coach to athlete ratio, space is limited.

Coxswains—

The coxswains role is vital to the success of the team.  From relatively simple tasks of getting the boat on the water to more complex responsibilities like motivating the team during practices and races and initiating strategy.  Cape Cod Crew is always looking for bright, self-confident, petite young women with a take charge attitude to fill the role as coxswain.

Head Coach—

Coach Todd Kennelly believes in a low coach to athlete ratio in order to preserve close attention to developing athletes.  With over thirty years experience in the sport, 12 years as a competitor and 18 years coaching, Todd has sent graduates of his program to row at Princeton, Brown, Penn, Northeastern, Boston University, Boston College, Wesleyan, Temple, UNH and most recently Notre Dame.
